Resolved Question: Problems switching from old CRT display to 20″ LCD monitor?

I recently gave my father my old 20" DGM L-2041W LCD monitor to replace his Packard Bell CRT monitor that he got with his PC in 2001. When I try to switch the monitor the display turns pink on computers start up and stops working completely after the Windows XP loading screen, saying "out of range". I updated the graphics driver for his graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700LE) and changed the resolution to 1440 x 900 at the recommendation of a Google search to no avail. The monitor works in safety mode, but it still has a pink tint to it and isn't very pleasing to the eye. I'm kind of at a loss here and was hoping some techy fellow could help me out, it would be mega appreciated. Also, I know the monitor isn't broken as it works fine on my Mac. I'm the cable I'm using is a VGA cable. Source: Yahoo! Answers: Search for
