Resolved Question: Monitor resolution problem?

System Specs:
8800gt
samsung syncmaster 920nw
Intel Core To Quad q6600
Windows 7 Home Premium
I have this strange resolution problem. My native resolution is 1440 X 900 60Hz. Then one fine day it automatically changed to 75Hz. Now whenever i try to change it back, the screen goes black. Then i have to keep on pressing esc in order to return back to the 75Hz screen.Due to this some of the games that used to work on 1440 X 900 60Hz resolution are starting but due to the blank screen i cant do anything.
I have all the updated drivers of the monitor and the graphic card,
Thanks in advance
