Voting Question: LCD Widescreen Resolution

I have a new 19′ LCD monitor that requires 1440 X 900 resolution. I downloaded what I think is the newest driver update for my S3 Unichrome from the S3 website. I still cannot change my resolution.
Please help me in “simple” terms. I have spent hours on websites reading forums in a tech language I don’t understand.

Thanks in advance.

Yes I know I need to “install it” but the windows dialog box does not give me that option. It only gives me..Play, Burn, etc…

Resolved Question: HP laptop recommendation

I’m looking at buying a laptop for my A level subjects coursework(ICT,Computing,RE,Business and Geography) and to be able to do lots of other things such as run the Sims 2 and Open for Business,my Nike thing,Itunes etc,Maybe movies etc

I prefer HP as I have an old HP laptop and a HP desktop but I don’t mind looking at sony or tobisha.

I looked around and the HP Pavilion dv9885ea (KU177EA) looked good.
