Widescreen Wallpapers

My 3 year old got a hold of my computer and somehow managed to perform a system restore. Now, the drivers for my speakers and monitor are gone. The monitor that I am using now is different than the original, and I think the computer thinks it is still there. When I try to alter the resolution from 800 x 600 to 1440 x 900 in the properties, I do not find this resolution setting. How do I find this? Also, there is no sound from speakers and when I go to printers and other hardware, it shows an absence of drivers and hardware. Any ideas?

Also, system restore only gives me the choice of restoring back to the day this happened. Can’t go back any further.

I have Samsung SyncMaster 931BW that is supposed to run in 1440 x 900 res. but it wont….well…it does but its really bad !
I have to run it on 1024 x 768
Like… my screen does not fit in the monitor when on 1440×900
Could it be….i think i didn’t install drivers for the monitor.
I couldn’t find the drivers on the samsung site.

Ok, I have an Acer AL1916W widescreen monitor. It needs the 1440 x 900 resolution but my computer doesnt have it. It used to but now its gone. I recently upgraded my computer to windows xp home edition sp2, could that be the reason why it is gone? I am using 1280 x 1024 resolution right now, the problem with it is that it makes the pictures wider, but the text is okay.
I looked all over google for an answer and it said to download the latest drivers. I dont know how to install them onto my computer. I also dont know if i have the latest driver or not either. I tried using powerstrip but that didnt work.

Does anyone know what exactly is wrong or what i need to do to get the 1440 x 900 resolution??
I am a real beginner at computers and need step by step instructions.

i was moving my pc from my parents house into my dorm room…i unplugged the pc and everything packed it up and drom it to my dorm room….set the pc up and now the pc is in this ugly 1360 x 768 resolution. i tried to reinstall teh drivers but that didnt work..i did a system restore that doesnt work…i’m stumped..can anyone hellp me with my problem on getting my 1440 x 900 resolution back

For christmas i got a new computer screen which are the new onces , flat screened and wide ( Like the Tv’s Sorter Things ) Anyway I Have installed the drivers and everythink it works but everythink is streached and i can’t play my game’s or anything because it’s all streached and it’s so annoying when you get somthink that dose not work right.

It say’s it recomends
1440 x 900 60Hz
But mine dose not show it so the nearest it i can get it is
1280 x 768 60Hz
As you can tell this is way out

How do i fix it ?
Please help !! i beg you so much haha !

p.s My brother has one to the same and it work’s fine yet my computer is newer than his and it gose tits up !
